In 1999, Katie chose sobriety over suicide. That was the moment, she discovered her life’s calling. She’s been passionately committed to her recovery and helping others achieve long-term recovery ever since. She’s been working in the treatment field since 2006 in inpatient, outpatient, peer recovery support and education. Personally and professionally, she’s helped thousands of people in their recovery journey.
Since she got sober, she’s lived an extraordinary life. Though she initially thought sobriety would be the death of fun, she soon discovered it was just the beginning of a great adventure. She’s been lucky enough to enjoy extended world travel, experience plenty of thrilling adventures and is committed to self-exploration and personal growth.
